The patient usually suffers from lower back pain for months. The pain is so severe that it forces the patient to stop working and sports for months.  <\/p>\n\n<p>On clinical examination, the patient has slight palpation and pressure movement below the lumbar spine. He suffers from localized pain near the level of the fourth and fifth lumbar vertebrae with hyperextension in the lower back. Neurological examination of the lower extremities is normal.   <\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"288\" height=\"327\" src=\"https:\/\/asayedissa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Chronic-spondylolisthesis-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5276\" srcset=\"https:\/\/asayedissa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Chronic-spondylolisthesis-1.jpg 288w, https:\/\/asayedissa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Chronic-spondylolisthesis-1-264x300.jpg 264w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 288px) 100vw, 288px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"288\" height=\"228\" src=\"https:\/\/asayedissa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Chronic-spondylolisthesis-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5278\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p>Useful for these conditions is a SPECT-CT scan, which is a type of nuclear medical examination in which images from two different types of radiographic scans are combined. A combined examination can provide accurate information about how different parts of the body are functioning and identify problems more clearly.  <\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"288\" height=\"377\" src=\"https:\/\/asayedissa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Chronic-spondylolisthesis-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5280\" srcset=\"https:\/\/asayedissa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Chronic-spondylolisthesis-3.jpg 288w, https:\/\/asayedissa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Chronic-spondylolisthesis-3-229x300.jpg 229w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 288px) 100vw, 288px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"288\" height=\"255\" src=\"https:\/\/asayedissa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Chronic-spondylolisthesis-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5282\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p>Attempting physical therapy and other conservative pharmacological treatments is good, but often does not lead to complete recovery, and symptoms do not improve significantly or permanently.  <\/p>\n\n<p>It is preferable to give patients with this condition a chance with drug therapy for a few months, such as the following medications: <\/p>\n\n<p>1- calcitonin<\/p>\n\n<p>2- Vitamin D<\/p>\n\n<p>3- Calcium<\/p>\n\n<p>4- Magnesium<\/p>\n\n<p>5- Zinc<\/p>\n\n<p>6- Manganese<\/p>\n\n<p>Usually, it is a golden opportunity for the patient to recover. <\/p>\n\n<p>The patient&#8217;s diet should be improved with cheese and other dairy products to ensure adequate intake of tricalcium phosphate, vitamin D, and vitamin K.
