There are two common types of bowed legs depending on the direction of the knee joint while standing:
Genu valgum – Knock knees:
It is also called “thigh adhesion”, where the knees are close together while standing while the feet are far apart. In this case, most of the body weight falls on the outer side of the knee.
Genu varum – Bow legs
And this is the most common type. In this case, the knees are far apart from each other while standing with the feet joined together.
